The birth of Mostiglass: a response to a health emergency
Against mosquitoes: Mostiglass, new solution that was strong, transparent, durable and, above all, 100% effective.
Faced with this epidemic, the recommendations of the World Health Organization were clear: the use of insecticides was the main form of protection. Yet this solution had obvious limitations. Chemical products are neither sustainable nor always desirable in a domestic environment, particularly when children are present.
Traditional solutions, such as mesh screens, also proved to be insufficient. The agile and determined tiger mosquito is capable of pushing aside certain meshes with its legs to find its way through. This highlighted an urgent need: a truly reliable form of protection.
Something else had to be imagined. A new solution that was strong, transparent, durable and, above all, 100% effective.
It was in this context that a simple yet revolutionary idea was born: to create an impassable physical barrier without compromising light or visibility. A protection system capable of integrating perfectly into the home while providing maximum safety.
And so, the very first Mostiglass was born in Mauritius.
